Afternoon Tea .....traditional at 4 o'clock, consists of tea or coffee with baked scones, tea sandwiches or pastries. High tea , traditional 6 o'clock . often between five and seven o'clock. Substantial meal. Sweet foods- scones, cakes, buns and tea breads. With tempting savouries, of cheeses, toasted crumpets, cold-meats and poached eggs.
